Visa issues hamper Titan’s WEC attendance, Vici Gaming replaces Malaysian team

With World Esports Championship set to begin tomorrow, Titan manager Tiffani ‘oling’ Lim announced that the team is unable to participate in the tournament due to visa issues. This came following Team Secret’s visa denial which saw them being replaced by Natus Vincere a week ago.

Being the only team representing South East Asia, the news is devastating for fans from the region as Titan’s spot has been taken over by Vici Gaming. Titan fought long and hard through the South East Asian qualifier and had to beat MVP Phoenix to secure their spot in the LAN finals. While WEC could have invited MVP Phoenix to replace them in the event, MVP will most probably have problems obtaining the visa too considering the short time given.

Vici Gaming will be taking up Titan’s former spot and take on Evil Geniuses in the winner bracket quarters of the tournament.
