This June, the original Dota 2 arena event makes its triumphant comeback, as ESL returns to the halls of Commerzbank Arena for ESL One Frankfurt 2016!

On June 18 to 19, eight of the very finest teams from across the globe battle it out for glory in front of thousands and thousands of some of the most passionate Dota fans out there. While direct invites have yet to be unveiled, aspiring teams from Southeast Asia begin their journey towards Germany this Sunday, April 3, with the SEA Open Qualifier set to go live at 1300 SGT.If you think you have what it takes to make it out of the grueling single-elimination brackets alive, and eventually earn the right to represent the entire region later this Summer, then sign up now. For the third time in as many years, Dota 2 finds a home at the Commerzbank-Arena in Frankfurt, Germany. Iterating on the stage layout of the 2014 event, ESL One Frankfurt features the largest screen ever used to show a game of Dota 2 at over 550 square meters. A large festival area next to the arena will have the widest variety of side activities yet, ensuring that there’s something for everyone to enjoy. ESL One Frankfurt features 8 teams from all over the world! They will face off against each other for a massive $250,000+ prize pool!

Tournament Format:

ESL One Frankfurt will feature a double elimination group stage into a playoffs stage. The event will feature two teams from Europe, one team from the United States, one Southeast Asian team, and one Chinese team. In addition teams will be invited directly to the event based on past performance.
