Mineski-Razer is, without a doubt, back on top of the local Dota 2 competitive scene, after they drilled through DreamzLedion SteelSeries 3-0 in the finals of the GIGABYTE Mineski Pro-Gaming League Dota 2 5-4.

Read on below for a recap of what transpired during May 18-19, this month’s GMPGL Dota 2 weekend.

Class A

NCCL3 champions It’s Pro-Time from Cebu went undefeated in the Class A portion, qualifying into the battleground of champions, Class S, as the seventh seed. They were followed closely by team All In, which rounded of the eight teams that will be competing for the title of this month’s best Dota 2 team.

Class S

Mineski-Razer started its campaign to regain the top spot rather slowly, as it took them the full six games to get through bothMSIEvoGT TnC as well as Class A champs It’s Pro-Time (three games each). However, once they got into rhythm in the Winners Bracket finals against TnC Gaming, they started to run away with the competition, as they won their next two games in astounding fashion, to get into the grand finals via the Winners Bracket.

On the Lower Bracket, Julz and the rest of his teammates from defending champions Dreamz forced their way back up into the grand finals, as they defeated TnC, the same team that demoted them earlier that day, in the LB finals, securing their matchup with Mineski for the gold.

And the rest, as they say, is history. In a battle between the two teams invited into the Eastern Qualifiers for The International 2013,Mineski outclassed Dreamz to take home first place.

Congratulations to all those who participated and won. See you all next month for another helping of hot Dota 2 action!
