[Updated] Official Razer Rules for Counter Strike: Global Offensive
Users of the Razer Arena should thoroughly read and understand all rules associated with a tournament or event. Do not assume that rules from one event will mimic those from another.
Razer or tournament administrators will have final say in instances of rule discrepancies.
Teams on Razer Arena are not limited to the number of players within, nor are they limited to the number of games they play. Members from a team can compete in a tournament on Counter Strike while completely different members from the same team compete in a tournament on Battlefield. With the previous example in mind, the same members of a team can simultaneously compete in multiple tournaments across multiple games. The caveat to this is that only one instance of a team may play in the same tournament. If the members of your team wish to compete against each other in the same tournament they would then need to create a separate team. Players which are not assigned to your team may not participate in team matches. If you wish for that user to participate they should be made a member of the team.
Players on the Razer Arena platform are permitted to join as many teams as they would like, however, players participating in the same tournament through multiple teams is strictly prohibited. Players caught participating on multiple teams within the same event will be penalized by having all teams they are participating with removed from the event. Players will conduct themselves in a professional manner while participating on the Razer Arena platform. Text chat and voice chat across any instance of Razer Arena – including in game – which is classified as rude, vulgar, racist, inflammatory or derogatory will not be tolerated. Punishment for these incidents will be at the discretion of Razer or tournament administration, but could result in a permanent ban on Razer Arena. Players may participate in as many events as they choose, but it is the responsibility of that play to manage their time. An inability to participate in a scheduled match will result in the forfeiture of that match and possibly of the entire event.
Players must register themselves for an event to be included in the matches that are played out within. Event organizers will specify a time and date range for the bracket rounds and the matches that occur within each round. Some events will occur in one single day while others will span a week, possibly longer. It is important to understand the time commitments that you are making before registering for an event, failure to participate hinders other player’s experience as well.
Players and teams must utilize the match servers that are provided to them for their event. Outside servers will not be permitted for match use. If teams are experiencing server difficulties, they should immediately reach out to event organizers.
CHEATING / THROWING MATCHES
Behavior which alters the natural flow of a respectable match will not be tolerated, this includes, but is not limited to cheating and the intentional losing of a game. Players caught cheating or tampering with matches will be immediately and permanently banned from Razer Arena.
Should disputes arise during, before, or after a match has been played it is the responsibility of the players to immediately report the dispute to event administration. Disputes which are reported beyond the dispute resolution phase after a match will be nullified, expect in extreme circumstances such are cheating or other illicit activities.
The default competition game mode for Counter Strike will be defuse missions. Game settings will be the standard 5v5 MR15 format with a round timer of 1m 45s and a defuse timer of 35s. Overtime default settings will be MR5 with $16k starting cash. Teams may play with a minimum of 4 players.
